If the Republicans take back both branches of Congress, I will make this bold prediction:It will be the last gasp of the modern Republican Party as we now know it and here's why:The current power brokers are mainly white, extreme Christian conservatives and when they hit Congress they will completely over-reach in such a manner that with the racial demographic trends in the US, it will only show the rest of America that the Republican Party is primarily only interested in having members that are....gasp....mainly white, extreme Christian conservatives and if a person is not that, you better be able to prove you are on the Kool-Aid, i.e., Michael Steele. Whether these people want to admit it or not, the Tea Bag Party is just another version of the Republican Party, on to the right of it. So these two WILL merge and while fighting over the steering wheel, run that Republican Party car right off the cliff. On the right side of the road, of course.
