this country has such a terrible short term memory and for some reason I can't figure out, there seems to be a bunch of revisionist thinking on the march to the war in Iraq and it seems those biggest hawks are getting one of the biggest undeserving passes in their lives.

For example, the left has now seemed to have forgiven Colin Powell because of his latest statement. It makes me sick to see things like this happen and that is what I'm referring to.

Lately the "surge" has been also examined by revisionist eyes and those on the right are claiming it was a success, when all scholars have continued to point out it was not. So what do we have? A bunch of unrepentant jerks taking victory laps when they should not be allowed to.

But the sickest thing in all of this to me is that we Americans have most likely not learned one single thing from this war and would most likely fall right back into the rut of a new war if similar circumstances emerged.
