It actually had very little to do with the NRA Heathcliffe. Senators (or Congressmen for that matter) couldn't care less about them, but they do read their mail from constituents. Obama lied when he told you 90% of America wanted it (show me where they got that number). And in fact, the government lies to you about a lot of numbers.

What people want is more jobs in this so called recovery (without new jobs) and to stop the debt train. Oh, and to enforce the gun laws already in place. Yeah we have to address the illegal immigrant issue too that is up next, but I think some good workable ideas are floating up on that front and maybe these folks can write a better bill this time.

That gun bill was a disaster from the start.
