What bothers me about the coverage and reaction to this, and Sandy Hook before it, and the Colorado theater shootings before that, is the very limited discussion about the mental health of the perpetrator.

This guy was deeply, horribly disturbed. The fact that he chose a firearm as his weapon of choice, IMO, is secondary to the fact that he was batshit crazy. The fact that a man who is batshit crazy can get a gun is the issue to me, not that guns exist.
