Well, it was closest in Georgia but I would count nearly 7 million more people voting for Biden, the largest amount of people to ever vote for a president in this country (80 million!) a mandate and a landslide victory for Biden. Trump got crushed but if Pat is talking about the Republican party as a whole...yes, they did alright and picked up seats in the House. The "Blue wave" did not happen and I just think the reason for that is obviously the country is horribly divided and it is really hard to swing Red or Blue voters to the other side right now. I think on Trump it was easier because he was so over the top horrible but when you go down ballot, it is a totally different ball game.

It was impressive how many people turned out because while Trump was destroyed he did pick-up more votes this time than he got against Clinton...which I admit completely surprised me.

I think madness has descended on the country and many people are saying things that are absolutely insane. People have sent me some things that Jon Voight and James Woods have said (a couple of actors I like, when they are acting) and these guys sound like they have lost their minds. For what it is worth I don't think either of them are stupid, in fact I think James Woods is supposed to have a genius level IQ. I think when it comes to politics in these times though, the intellect checks out and the emotions kick in. Voight is literally saying that Trump is fighting Satan (in the form of Democrats) and Woods is telling tales of how the government is tracking us with our phones to punish and control us. They appear not to have a clue how stupid they sound...but hey, look on the bright side, Pat appears not to be buying into any of this garbage and that's good. He'd have to be more specific on what he thinks was close. On Trump, not close, on Red vs. Blue...much, much closer but this has a lot to do with gerrymandering, and I think how the parties turned out their voters. Republicans knocked on doors and hit the streets in person, Democrats did it by mail and phone to be Covid safe. Republicans just ended up doing a better job getting their voters out for the down ballot candidates than the Democrats did.
