First, I don't know what David has been up to. I believe his novel is coming soon, so we can hopefully all read it and discuss it here when that happens.

On the Red wave, yeah, that was predicted at first, then people backed off of that, and then the Republicans seemed to surge closer to election but in the end, sanity won out it seems. What I am waiting for is to see how Republicans react to this because if they follow Trump, they are going to start asking for recounts and claiming the losses are fake, and the elections were rigged. They filed lawsuits prior to election day, expecting losses, and the losses came.

The damage to Trump seems rather huge, in that the Murdochs and many Republicans are blaming him for the losses and heaping praise on DeSantis. So, officially, the Republican party is split. It is the DeSantis side vs MAGA and we shall see how this plays out.

My feeling is, the losses were in part on Trump, who is a frothing at the mouth lunatic, and also on the absolute nutjobs the Republicans ran in places and Trump endorsed. They refer to that as a "candidate quality" problem but what it basically breaks down as is, many Americans can identify crazy when they see it.

I don't know how you feel about Herschel Walker but that is a pretty blatant example of what MAGA is all about. Run a guy that is not at all qualified to be a senator, does not have even the most rudimentary public speaking skills, sounds like a punch-drunk boxer, and nearly two million people vote for him despite the fact that he is the polar opposite of what they claim they stand for. Walker is a candidate to accomplish just one thing, the total destruction of government and democracy. Period, end of sentence.

Dr. Oz was just another guy, like Walker, that was running on the idea that our government be destroyed. Personally, I see nothing good in that and yes, Oz also did not seem to know where Pennsylvania was on a map. Why anybody would vote for scum like this is beyond me. This is the kind of thing I am always trying to understand. Where is the appeal in people like this? Trump, Greene, Boebert, Oz, Walker, Jordan, Gaetz, these people are scum...do you really want to see this kind of garbage in our government? Ted Cruz is just a total joke, his history is ridiculous.

I have been looking for you to tell me for years how you feel about these kind of candidates. I mean do you like this kind of thing or would you prefer to see someone else running for these jobs?

I mean, I was totally upfront when Hillary Clinton ran, I would not, did not, vote for her. I don't just support a candidate because they are part of a certain party. I never voted for Bill Clinton either. I could not care less about party. Do you just vote party and would you vote for people like Greene or Boebert or Walker?

I am truly curious where you are on that?
