twitter was something a little different than the other socials - especially facebook. It used an algorithm like all the others to push ads etc - but it was helpful for breaking info in a relatively non pre-packaged way. I can't imagine running the operation in a meaningful way - with full advertiser support - with such a lean workforce. Also - as soon as the racism/xenophobia/white supremacy/q nonsense starts to go completely unchecked - which it likely will - then the Google and Apple app stores will drop the app - which will effectively kill it.

Who knows why this is happening - seems like elon is just going on the idea that he's the smartest guy in the room and it will all work out in the end.
