Wow, OK, I think I did see something about the Kathy Griffin episode. I have not watched them all. Mostly if I have seen a guest listed I have an interest in I will check out the episode.
I have nothing against Maher, but he can be just a bit annoying, particularly when he is indulging in his substances of choice. The Tarantino episode was interesting because they did seem to get a bit wasted. Tarantino is another guy that will talk your ear off but as he got drunker and more stoned he was no match for Bill. I thought the show was going to be sort of like hanging out in a bar and having a few drinks and so was kind of surprised when Bill and Quentin actually ended up getting shitty and slurring words. That was a drink until closing time and accidently turning to hit on the empty barstool next to you before the bartender throws you out kind of thing.
