Christ I must admit one of the things that distracted me at times was seeing how divine the weather seemed there with all that shit going on. I kept thinking to myself why don’t they all go and chill on a beach instead? It is the Mediterranean after all. Never for one moment would it dawn on me to invade Poland if I was chilling there. Not that I don’t like Polish people. I do. I hope they would not be too disappointed if I kicked an invasion of them down the road just so as I could linger a bit in the sun.
another thing that I never worked out about Poland was that Russia and Germany divided it up between them. Russia killed thousands of Polish army officers. Hitler goes in and before you know it Britain and France are declaring war? But Russia…nothing…
