I don’t think what David is saying can be emphasized enough. This is not a drill. The trumpers were caught off guard when they won in 2016 but that is not the case now. Read Project 2025 if you don’t believe they are planning on going full dictatorship. 
We always thought we had enough guardrails in place to prevent a trump situation from happening, but we don’t. This is obvious when looking at the fact that although he is responsible for an insurrection and that he actively tried to get state officials to change election results to make him “the winner”, he is still running around this country spouting fucking lies and stochastic threats. He is still running for office even. He has so many deluded people eating out of his hand and afraid of what he may put on truth social about them or about real threats they would face from his followers against them and their families. We have so many people, from the highest court in the land to the local officials across the nation who follow him, that support him that what he says will happen really will happen. AND if Nikki Haley, for example, was elected instead, I don’t know that we’ll fare much better. 
There will be no going back or no “it won’t be that bad” if Trump is elected. It WILL be as bad as we can imagine and EVEN WORSE. It won’t just be Gazan women, children, and vulnerable who are murdered and targeted. It will be black and brown people everywhere.
