I want to believe if people understood it, you put it right in front of them, they would care but I think in the sea of rage, disinformation, and propaganda we live in here, plus the fact that life in general is so overwhelmingly difficult and/or busy for so many people...well...what is happening in another country does not have any room to penetrate.
And when you are living under Trump, such a large part of what he does is to push cruelty and viciousness so that people embrace it as the way to deal with issues. So, I do think there are people here, in the MAGA world, that cheer the deaths of Israelis and Palestinians. They actively want to see it happen. That part is sick, and I think people with a heart and a brain would oppose that in any and every way possible. Ignorance, well, I understand that, but rooting for and working towards killing people over the color of their skin and/or religion...nope, not buying in there.
It takes me a long time to sort out what some things mean. For example, I read something the other day that Trump took in a billion dollars in donations after posting (reposting) a photo of him as the pope. I had no idea how to interpret that nor how to understand it. I just sat there wondering what that means. I asked a guy if he thought Catholics liked that photo and so they threw money at Trump because they enjoyed the idea of Pope Donald. He said, "Fuck no, Reg, none of that money came from Catholics!"
He is a Catholic, so I wanted an opinion. If I am this confused, and I try to stay informed, I imagine others have to be totally lost. I think some of these MAGA people could not find their own ass with both hands and five people helping them.
Something I wanted to ask you, how do people in Denmark feel about Americans right now, with our moronic president actually continuing to say he may use military force to take Greenland? I just mean the regular folks on the street, not really the politicians, I am sure they are fairly angry about that stupidity. I wonder though, are they taking it as just Donald Trump's typical posturing, or do people feel the US will attack Greenland? It's so crazy, I just wonder if people laugh at it, it angers them, or they just think that Trump guy is a total nut...or a combination of all three?
