Definitely a combo of all three. Our problem is that of the 6 parties that had a local election in Greenland a couple of months ago, only one is openly saying they wanna stay danish, while the other 5 thinks it is feasible to have full autonomy at an indeterminate point in the future. Keep in mind that since the latest revision of their self-government agreement in 2009 they have only managed to increase 2 !!! more of the 33 areas that are currently run by Danish authorities (Lots of areas like judiciary, policing, education, transportation, coastguard etc.etc.), to the cost of around 1 billion $ each year - so that is the deficit after tax. In other words - even though a lot dream of having full autonomy, it is economically impossible for the foreseeable future. Drilling after oil in an arctic area is EXTREMELY expensive and difficult so that is a non-starter. Mining might be possible, but getting a surplus will be a decades long endeavour. Tourism is growing slowly, but it is problematic when the local guides sometimes leaves the tourists when there are seals spotted and they go hunting instead of taking care of the tourists.
Also note that between 35-50 % of the native Greenlanders IE those that actually live in Greenland are mixed race danish and inuit.
