One last smart ass comment of the day and then I'm goin' to bed.
I predict that someone in this string will be wrong. But I certainly hope Mr. Penn wins the oscar.
Someone accepted a golden globe for him the other night...can't remember who...(18 hour work day here...my brain is fried)...they said..and I'll paraphrase: "Lots of actors get lots of awards but some actors are so consistently good, we just expect it of them. Their whole body of work is so outstanding that no one role sticks out. Sean Penn is one of those actors." What a compliment! And it just came to me...that was from Clint Eastwood.
Mystic River is one of those films I have to be in the right frame of mind to see. Best to watch when I have had at least a 24 hour buffer between me and work.
