I too have had The Blind Boys of Alabama in the player the last few days. "Spirit of the Century" is a fine album with a team of blues musicians on backing such as John Hammond and Charlie Musslewhite. It's on Real World Records.
Luther Wright & The Wrongs - Rebuild The Wall
This Canadian band takes on "The Wall" by Pink Floyd from start to finish with bluegrass, honky tonk and old school country. They do a surprisingly good job with it too.
Steve Earle - Jerusalem
Peter Gabriel - Up
Gov't Mule - The Rising (DVD) and the The Deep End II with a boat load of well known bass players paying tribute to Allen Woody.
Edgar Meyer - Unfolding Long out of print masterpiece with Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas and the usual suspects.
The new King Crimson EP should arrive soon.....
Kim Richey - Rise
Bebo Norman - 10,000 Days
