You're both right. Boths sides will always use whatever means are available to them to accomplish what they'd like to accomplish. Sometimes they'll use methods that appear sneaky or coniving but, at one time or another, both sides have used the same tactics.

Look at Clintons midnight pardons a few years ago. Did the GOP approve of them? No. Will Bush do the same thing when it's his time to go? Probably. Will the dem's approve? No. Will anything really change? No.

What we've got here are a couple of gangs who hate each other. Both sides will do whatever it takes to prevent the other from accomplishing anything.
