Let me get this straight: Human life is sacred in the following order:

1. Unborn babies

2. Iraqis

3. Death row prisoners

Seems to me that if any human life is sacred then all human life is sacred. Aren't you playing God yourself if you begin rank ordering who's who?

And if human life is sacred what about all life? What about animals? What about the kajillion cows ground up to make your burgers for lunch each day? How about those snakeskin boots and alligator shoes? The Jains sweep the walkway with a broom before they set their feet down so as not to injure any innocent bug- beings. They drink water through filters so as not to ingest any innocent- bystander microbes.

And don't forget Monty Python's admonition that "every sperm is sacred".

Or Kurt Cobain: "It's okay to eat fish 'cuz they don't have any feelings."
