Andrea,It's odd you mention fireflies - this year in Central Illinois they were in low numbers. It's sort of like honeybees. I remember how thick they were as a child, but lately they seem fewer and fewer.Back to fireflies a moment.....a couple of years ago while a few of my friends and I were on this gravelroad that runs deep into the riverbottoms we noticed that the fireflies were so thick it was like someone strung millions of little lights through the trees. In my forty years I had never seen such a thing before. It was amazing...
