Thank you(was it Blockdog? I forget now):I am so delighted to see this argument represented, wonderful
points. Hope you don't mind my piling on!
> 61 of Clinton's nominees were shot down in the back rooms
without an up or down vote on the floor of the senate. 61 of Clinton's nominees were shot down in the back rooms

Clintons appointments? Equally high I imagine(90%+).
> The Dems have given Bush 208 of his nominees without any
hesitation. They aren't happy with 95%, they want total control and
that is dangerous. The Dems have given Bush 208 of his nominees without any

Wade HAS NOT been overturned. Even more amazing considering
the previous 12 years of Bush/Reagan appointing supposedly
conservative judges. Aren't 7 of the present 9 appointed by
republican Prezs' who have been in power for 15 of the past 23
years. You'd think the religious right would have gotten more of
their agenda passed given these numbers.
(EEE: another example of both parties heading essentially in the
same direction-logic would dictate another outcome more closely
resembling republican campaign promises than what we have in
fact been graced with.)> These tools were devised in the senate for both parties to use in
the event of a mad, power hungry majority running roughshod over
the congress and the people. It was created to protect checks and
balances and this means nothing to the dipwads on the right as
long as it suits their purpose. These tools were devised in the senate for both parties to use in

originally so as to favor the protection of minority opinions. At
least that is my understanding.
ps Go Reg. Question though: would these same rules apply if we
altered fascists to internationalists? Y'know, the NWO stuff.Reading inspires Montag to question...
