I hope you aren't suggesting this is a North/South issue Dan. I'm about 1,000 miles north of Pat and I still think what Lott said was stupid. That's it. He was pandering to a tired old man who (unfortunately) is still revered in the ol' south.
Bob Dole was there to "honor" Thurmond too. Does that not make him a racist and a bigot as well?
