This will sound foolish, but I raise a few critters. This year I decided to get a dozen Muscovy chicks for the first time ever, to go along with some chickens etc. They were only about 6 weeks old, not quite old enough to defend themselves, when a fox found it's way through my poor construction skills and et all but 3, and a mess of chickens too. Anyhow, I was broken hearted, still am in a way, but I've discovered I really love having those ducks around. Lost one of the especially friendly rabbits the other night too. I'm new to raising livestock, it's a most interesting learning experience.

I miss those ducks because the three that remain just prove the other nine would have become even more endearing.
