i appreciate the comments. she's a good kid and has it in her heart to want to do something more than just inform herself. a youth group she participates in is spending 2 weeks in Tanzania this summer and she was really looking forward to going until her dad stepped in called it off. i think it would have been a life changing experience for her and given her an experience that Tammy and i never could...maybe next year. instead, she'll be traveling with the same group out to Hollywood in a couple weeks partnering with a church in the area. i told her dad that Tanzania may actually be a safer trip for her but i didn't press the issue as we've got a pretty good relationship and i'd like it to remain that way.
