we were at a jars of clay concert a few months ago and they sang a song which speaks a bit to what you're upset about. it's a song about the struggling people in Darfur and elsewhere and how they desperately need our help but they don't need us to fix them because they're not broken...just desperate for a chance. i caught the song on video. the audio is a bit overdone as we had a massive bank of speakers just to our left.
