Guys, personally I don't think you belong lumped in with Pat, he's in a class all his own. The thing is, in terms of this troll thing, I think that in this case David's comment was fair and quite mild. Kevin's original comment was nasty, accusatory, and clearly baiting. It was also misleading, untrue, and dishonest. I don't think it's a problem to come here and talk about abortion if that's what you want to do, Kevin. I also don't think it's a problem if you guys want to come on here and call Harry Reid an asshole for what he said. I'm sure you would point out that George W. Bush has been called plenty of names here...and you'd be 100% correct.

The thing is by the definition of "troll" that David posted, well, Kevin was being a troll. It wasn't a vicious or nasty thing to say in response to Kevin's post. it was a warning to others not to fall into responding to loaded comments. I'll be honest, when I read Kevin's post I thought he was going to get hammered for what he said. I read it and thought "Oh boy, he's asking for it."

Now this is certainly trolling. Knowing that most people that post here don't support what's gone on with Iraq Kevin throws out this accusation that everybody "on the left" celebrates our soldiers getting killed. Not only is this unfair but as a person "on the left" that had a cousin in the Marines fighting in Iraq I think the proper response would be to punch Kevin in the mouth for saying this. Just the fact that you would accuse people of celebrating our troops getting killed is pretty sick. Sorry, but that comment displays a level of asshole-ness that is beyond the pale.

I don't know if you meant to accuse people on this board of wanting our soldiers to die or you meant that's where you think Harry Reid is coming from but you should know there is a big difference between those statements. If you think that's where Reid was coming from, fine, if you think that's where someone like me is coming from...that's trouble and way off base. I also can't believe that's what you'd think of the people on this board. That's nasty and ignorant. The big problem with your comment is it's impossible to discern what you meant and as it stands it seems it's just a blanket "all you assholes on the left want to see our soldiers killed" statement. That's just begging for someone to unload on you.

It is unfair and it's also a bit odd how you twist Harry Reid and Iraq into abortion and why "the left" are evil because they want to see babies and our soldiers dead. That's what you seem to be saying and that would certainly be "troll-like" and the ranting of a very disturbed mind. Perhaps you are just expressing yourself poorly and that's not what you mean...if that's the case fine...if it's not perhaps you need to seek out some psychiatric care or at the very least counseling. When people view the world this way it often means they are a danger to themselves and or others. It would mean you think you are surrounded by blood thirsty freaks. That's not a healthy outlook.

Now for the grand finale you claim that Obama, Hillary, and everybody "on the left" want to crush baby skulls and chop up babies. Now people on this board say a lot of stuff sure...and David has threatened to use a chainsaw on Pat but I think everybody got that was a joke...but I don't think anyone has ever said they want to crush baby skulls or chop little babies up. So, how should we take this stuff?

See, you could have talked about how you support the Supreme Court decision. You could have talked about how you disagree with Harry Reid. You chose to post insane accusations and David warned not to respond to that. Somehow, I think going after David in this case is clearly wrong.

All that said I do think it's horrible and unfair every time you guys get lumped in with Pat. That's wrong and should not happen. Pat comes here looking for trouble all the time and pretty much gets what he asks for.
