That said... how realistic do you think it is that you would EVER have an elected body willing to fuck with the Constitution to the extent that you're (or Ron Paul is) proposing?

Ron Paul is, after all, kind of a bit of philosophical masturbation- the Ross Perot of 2007- a quirky, barometer of our discontent; soon to fade as our attention span wanders away with the next Apple release or the next Lindsay Lohan treatment attempt. In fact Lindsay Lohan would be more likely to be elected President.

If a savior is what Ron Paul represents, probably best to look to the skies for Jesus to make a comeback attempt. Let's hope He's righteously pissed and has a fistful of thunderbolts handy... there is no end of likely targets.
