The outpouring of knowledge . . . like the Rennaissance? The Age of Reason?

People crying for peace & not getting it . . . like any of a number of Russian Revolutions, or the big nasty one in France?

The genocides and plagues that came before (during & after) the founding of this nation?

Surely all of those are signs. The question is, how shall we interpret them, exactly?

Are you erring on the side of God's scripture, or are you choosing to believe in your ability to interpret said scripture perfectly, or even anything approaching perfection, therefore erring not on the side of said scripture, but on the side of your own interpretation?

Is this the matter of what you want to believe?

I'm not really trying to be less than gracious here . . . these are actual questions. Every time I hear someone pronouncing with unshakeable belief something like "I believe this because the bible tells me so," I'm left with the uncomfortable understanding that the same bible told me something different just the other day . . .

Did I mention, by the way, that I caught two big bass on the same lure, in the same cast last weekend? At someone's suggestion, I have dubbed that lure "Excaliber!"
