Give it time. Also, just as much blame can be apportioned to the fools who mortgaged themselves to the hilt then defaulted. Their collective failures have been part and parcel of the problem, along with policies that encouraged such behavior. The disease is greed, and the one area in which everyone ought to be a conservative is within personal and family finance.
