"economics has been studied to death. So much so that it's impossible for the people in the field who wrote the rules that allowed the irrational exuberance to developed NOT TO KNOW it was going to happen. Impossible."I would like for this statement to be true, but unfortunately I cannot credit it so. It seems the longer one studies anything, the more one disagrees with others who have studied that thing. So yes, there are different approaches to economics, and each probably has some merit, but ultimately the "marketplace" (writ large as the globe) will determine what wins out and what fails in the long term. That's in the long term.In the short term, certain market policies will tend to make certain people really rich, and so those policies will always be "voted" for by people who believe themselves to be a part of that "gonna get rich" group. In happier news, tonight I made a batch of salsa from my gardening labors. It took about six hours. (Ask Eugene.)
