We live very up close n personal to the Medical Industry.  Professional fear mongers are another kind of cancer …but there is no medicine for it except good logical consideration for the basic facts AND human beings over profits, information over cold detachment, dignity and compassion over numbers and subjects in a metaphorical Petri dish. I agree with the premise of this thread. But, I won’t be cracking the top or pullin a cork or tippin two ounces over the gums with virtual you today … as an ambulance took Maya on the long drive back to her crib away from crib this morning after spending the entire night sitting in a local dive emergency triage.  No fever for 48 hours is her ticket back home -- where we were thriving for a little more than a week in perfect hominess. Health Reform NOW. Do what’s right -- no, not “RIGHT.” Correct, proper, appropriate, fitting, decent, upright, honest, straightforward.  No, I’m not looking for sympathy either, this isn’t a whine, just some o the reality-based communication that seems welcome enough on this little forum away from forums.

These are the strangest days.  Days of anxiety around every corner, days of nobleness & consideration obscured by revenues and control, days of humanities profoundly misplaced & far too slowly rediscovered.

Geez, is it so much to ask to spend another decade or two with my wife, in a world where angry old misers live to ripe grizzled snarling old age enough to bird-shoot a friend in the face & then silently coerce them into a public apology for F-ing bleeding & receiving superb AFFORDABLE healthcare unavailable to the general public -- the middle and lower classes, etc. etc. etc.?   [[I'm deeply sorry for your anguish, E.]]
