Sorry to hear the news, Gene. It is really tough to see someone you love slip away. The strength and courage that your good friend has had in facing this is really moving, and he remains in my prayers.

Please don't say that you are pissed off at God. There is a reason for these things happening beyond what any of us can understand. All that suffer do not deserve it, just as all that deserve it don't suffer. Keep alive the good work and joy that Dan has done, and be comforted in knowing that so many do care.
