Everyone in America should be ashamed at the politics of the Sarah Palin story.

I hate to be blunt, crass and disgusting, but Bill Maher put her rise and following best described as the right wing loving her because they want to "fuck her." His words, not mine.

But if anyone wants to learn really what her appeal to the right wing is, search out the article that describes her discovery. I think it was in an old issue of Vanity Fair.

For those that did not read it, a handful of right wing media pundits (among this group were Fred Barnes and Bill Kristol) traveled together up to Alaska to meet her before her stardom. They had been told about this amazing woman up there, so a group of them went up to meet her and then came back and wrote about her. Excerpts from their pieces were in this article and their infatuation with her was something similar to a horny teen hot for his teacher.

These guys then kept pushing this "star."

However, to me, it is just another symbol of how infantile Americans are when it comes to their such easy acceptance of good looking people for leaders over those of substance.

Face it, we Americans are bred for the purchasing of shit and we gladly consume it every day and even with smiles on our faces.
