And I am not upset at Dan in any way. Talking politics to me is just like talking sports...I grew up with it and never got the "It's not polite to talk politics." thing from my parents. I've offended many people in my life talking politics but you know they always come back for more. I think mainly because...maybe this does not always come across on the internet...I am not mean spirited about it and you'd catch that in person.

Now, if Dan comes for a beer the political talk would likely be no problem...but when I explain how the Steelers can't beat the Patriots...that may get heated. I'll be in Pennsylvania next week explaining to Steelers fans why they have no hope of beating the Patriots this season...that is until they can't take anymore and start begging me to talk about politics instead.

The Patriots, I think, are the Clintons of the NFL to a lot of football fans...they just keep winning, they never go away, and a lot of people think they are lying and cheating. I would say the good thing though is the Patriots never fired missiles at a pharmaceutical factory depriving innocent children of their medicines and killing all kinds of people just to try to knock Monica Lewinsky out of a news cycle.
