Douglas Murray made a point how Eastern and Western Europe reacted totally differently to the immigration crisis. The West opened its arms whilst the East (Hungry, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, etc.) pretty much recoiled at the thought. Murray said that the East never lost that tragic dimension of life, where the West, having had 50 years of prosperity, had it erased. The East was threatened by the dilution of its cohesion and natural identity.
