Reg, I was looking forward to the debate that you and Marc were going to have until he more or less backed out. You bring so much clarity to issues that I'm surprised you're not writing for a publication where your insight can be appreciated by many more than the handful of us here.
I'm going to be a grandfather in early March and more and more, I find myself wondering what sort of world/country my grandson will grow up in. The indefatigable propagandists have been unleashed on us and it appears the average joe is incapable of appreciating just how insidious and damaging the poison they're injecting into our body politic is. Conservative voters have been taught to hate a man who has, from all I've witnessed, been working tirelessly to make their lives better. But they don't see it and don't want to see it. The hate they have for Biden blinds them to the many successes he's had during his presidency.
I was thinking the other day about how the issue of abortion may well be what saves our democracy in the end. Enough people see the value in pushing back against those who want to ban it and in the process, vote to keep this grand experiment limping along. I didn't see that coming.
