I agree with you Peter,

You can dislike the man's music or his politics, but he pours his heart and soul into his songs and his concerts. He never has been a tool of the music industry, he fought for two years after the success of Born to Run to retain control of his music. He refuses to allow his music to be used for crass commercial gain. He takes introspective chances with his albums and music (Nebraska, Ghost of Tom Joad), has always championed the downtrodden and helped with very little to no publicity. He is at almost every benefit gig and ready and willing to acknowledge and honor those that came before him musically. He personally met with people who lived through 9/11 or lost someone in the towers for The Rising. Scorsese and DeNiro must be mobbed up since the seem tp be able to depict it so well in movies. Springsteen by all accounts is a decent man, doing what he loves and doing his best to help out his fellow humans. And in my opinion I don't know how you can't like Backstreets or Rosalita, or Tenth Avenue Freeze Out . . .

Phew, thanks for reminding Peter, I meant to respond and forgot
