Razor magazine has an article titled something like "Why Music Sucks" and it got me to thinking about music today.

Actually, music out there doesn't suck. There is a ton of great new music out there, as well as older, lightly listened to music.

The problem is that the taste of popular culture is what sucks. It's terrible. You turn on MTV or any other music channel and you see and hear the same junk most of the time - the only differences seem to be that it's different people singing the same stuff in different videos and filmed at different angles and in different ways.

So if American taste would improve and the right amount of attention were given to those who deserve it, all these people saying and writing how music sucks would realize how wrong they are.

Good music doesn't suck, it's just hard to find because those who have no taste keep writing about junk.
