I don't necessarily wince at reading what I wrote back then but I'm disappointed that I placed the amount of trust I did in the Bush administration when they were deserving of none from me. I'm absolutely embarrassed by that.

I must've frustrated so many of you with my ignorance and I'm sorry. It's much easier (or so it seemed) to defend that which you believe in than to question it and that's the mistake I made. But question it I eventually did and once I was honest with myself and began chipping away at all I'd come to believe it began to fall apart. Nearly all of it. And I have to thank the voices here for their persistence in engaging me in a way that allowed me to see another perspective to the world I knew.

Yeah, what a long strange trip it's been.

I occasionally look back on our community here through the 10 year timeline (that's what I was doing tonight) and it's quite the trip down memory lane. Some of those threads I was involved in I remember so well and I do cringe a little but it's who I was and I accept that. People grow as I'm sure we've all done in the years since.

Life is a journey they say and my life very much exemplifies that sentiment.

I thank you all for your input over the years and I wish you well.
