My opinion was based after I did that search. I too had a hunch; that the NPR leans left. And now it looks like it does. So what if it does? Rather than put my foot in my mouth and make an unsubstantiated claim, I just did a quick search. I simply posted what came up.
By just doing a quick search--rather than actually listening to NPR--you ended up making an unsubstantiated claim. You found that an NPR show has had Tim Robbins as a guest (so?) and dug up a few op-ed pieces, one of which, I remind you, came from the Heritage Foundation. I did a little "research" of my own. Guess what I found?

Digging up a few links is no substitute for actually experiencing whatever it is you're trying to sound like you know what you're talking about.
Why are you, Eric and Dan so afraid of the term liberal? So what if the NPR has a liberal slant? I could care less. (Well, I guess I do care since they're publicly funded.) Embrace it, fer Chrissakes. Don't run from it. There's nothing wrong with being a liberal.
I'm not afraid of the term, I just want to point out where it's being used inappropriately.
