how could the Bushies become completely tone deaf on this issue? The Bushie handling of this port deal is the equivilent of the Bill Buckner World Series ground ball. (My own honest assessment is that there are probably many deals just like this that are all ready on the books and have been for some time and this particular one came to light for pure politcal reasons.)Next, what is your opinion as to why GWB is being so stubborn on this one? To be honest, I am completely flummoxed on this whole thing. Politically, as a Democrat, I am in euphoria over the political capital this Bushie miscue is providing, but as one who follows political machinations, I am bewildered at how a political party could make such a blunder.
