We should have been dumping money into alternative energy for the last 20 years - if we dump money into it for the next 50 we might get out of this.
1) Targeted Tax cuts to the Oil & Automotive industry to research and bring alternatives to Market (They're not going to do it without a carrot)
2) Same to consumeres to buy alt fuel vehicles (Price offset)
3) Zoning changes to stop sprawl - Rehab inner cities with a green approach and make them inviting and liveable (Please, No "New Urbanisimn" disneyland cookie cutter bullshit)
4) Targeted tax cuts to Electric Utilities for wind and solar R&D and marketing (see #1)
Now let me think some on Natural Gas...
