In this case no, because I saw the same piece and what you left out was she was the mother of an armed forces member, a pilot. She had a more vested interest than most, especially our chickenshit politicians who are willing to send other peoples' sons and daughters to do their dirty work. And I think the point of Axelrod's piece was to show that while Shrub's speech may have swayed many, it might not have swayed those with children who might be going to war.It is selfish to say, but frankly, in one way I am glad all my children are girls. This country simply does not give enough care towards those who are in positions protecting our freedom. To illustrate this point, while I was involved in the first Gulf conflict, what really pissed me off was upon returning to the US, I would look around and see all these people driving around in their gas-guzzling SUV's with yellow ribbons tied to their anntennas. What hypocrisy.
