Yea right. If Botswana would have invaded Rwanda we would have been dropping bombs there too. We defended Kuwait because we were defending our national interests -- economic prosperity provided by the free flow of oil. Economic prosperity is part of our National Security Strategy. Protecting vital national interests -- the free flow of oil being one of them -- is part of our National Military Strategy. Guaranteeing the free flow of oil in SWA is part of the Theater Strategy of the U.S. Central Command (commanded in 1991 by Schwarzkopf, today by Franks). I recommend that anyone interested should read our NSS and NMS. Should be able to find themon the web somewhere.
