Pat comes back with the WWII question from time to time as though that war, in that era, is somehow germane to what is going on now, with our corrupt administrative branch, impotent Congress, and oblivious populace. It's just not. WWII was about two tangible, aggressive threats to the ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD, not a bunch of DoD/Military contractor fat-cats wet dream of going to war forever (PNAC) and finding an agreeable nemesis in a bunch of faceless religious zealots who hide in caves.

I agree with you, the Congress of the late 30's and early 40's would have set fire to this entire bunch of dickless wusstards. All of them. Bush wouldn't be able to set foot inside the beltway without being wedgied to death by the other S&B Yalies around. FDR would have bludgeoned the living piss out of Cheney with his wheelchair. And Truman would have put his foot so far up Rumsfeld's ass that Donny could floss his teeth with the laces.
