Icon Re: Van Morrison and buying concert tickets

Although I can think of dozens of acts who are still on my wishlist (many top acts have never been to South Africa, or indeed Africa, and many only ever make the journey once) It is also becoming increasingly more and more expensive to see them here... Celine Dion played here at the beginning of the year and although I had zero interest in seeing her, if we had it would have cost us around a thousand to fifteen hundred bucks here, which is very expensive. The same with Elton John who we missed simply because we did not have the cash at the time. Usually, you would pay around five hundred bucks for two good tickets for an international artist here.

All of this makes me think of the Tom Petty song "Money Becomes King" They sat in golden circles/and waiters served them wine/and talked through all the music/and to john paid little mind/and way up in the nosebleeds/we watched him on the screen/they'd hung between the billboards/so cheaper seats could see...
