Hey, you know we all have them and it must really suck when you are a performer having one in front of a hockey rink full of people. I've only seen Van moody like that on two occasions though and one of them was at a show he started at like 1am in the morning...so I think that's understandable.

If there are people here that want to go and see him I would suggest to try to see him at a show where he's got some sort of special guest. Many of the shows I've seen have featured Van with a guest, often a blues or soul great, like Wells, Witherspoon, or Solomon Burke or a Bob Dylan and when he's got somebody like that on the bill with him he always is fired up to play. He grins from ear to ear, chats with the crowd, and heads off into the mystic when he sings. He seems to really love the other musicians and the little guy floats about three feet off the stage when he's got one of these guys or gals out there with him. When it's just him things are more of a gamble and if he's playing in a big place (like a hockey rink) he seems not to dig that either.
