David, I would love it if you were to make your new songs available in the way you describe.

I also offer the thought:  what if this site (or some site) could offer memberships on a subscription basis?  I do not know enough to get the figures right, but I'm sure you could imagine:  five bucks a month entitles you to x number of downloads, plus a couple of x, with a few Ginsu knives and a potato twirler thrown in to boot.  For ten, you get the salad shooter and a book of "Baerwald's Family Recipes."

Of course I'm kidding about some of the above, but I'd love to be able to get more of your excellent songs by subscription.  

So, why not?  I'd subscribe as fast as my typing would allow!
