"How many embittered children were created this week in Gaza?"Hamas has the power to make it end. In fact, they could have seen it not begin as such. And . . . if they were to drop the "destruction of Israel" from their mission statement, they could probably get a land-for-peace deal that would include ending the blockade entirely and even granting full statehood. Similar options have been offered or discussed since 2000!Hamas' all-or-nothing stance reveals the utter idiocy of the Arab "insha Allah" mindset.Hamas wants political control of all the land, including Israel, and they want Sharia law. Not acceptable for a free, multi-religious state. The Palestinian Authority at least has a more sensible outlook. Had Arafat not been such a crook and a fraud, they might not have ever lost so much support in Gaza, and we would be in a different place.
