I don't speak for Eric, but I'm chiming in to laud the president for this. I do think this could be a "teachable moment" as someone else mentioned.

Don't we need to get past the notion that black = trouble?

And yes, there is a "class" element to this incident as well, which serves to make it more interesting, but to me the more important issue here is the issue of profiling and its pitfalls.
