Hereyago Ed:

Democide is a term revived and redefined by the political scientist R. J. Rummel as "the murder of any person or people by a government, including genocide, politicide, and mass murder." Rummel created the term as an extended concept to include forms of government murder that are not covered by the term genocide, and it has become accepted among other scholars.[1] [2] [3] Rummel presents his definition without referencing any previous uses, but the term democide was defined and used in English more than 40 years earlier by Theodore Abel.[4] In the 20th century, democide passed war as the leading cause of non-natural death (according to Rummel). Clarification's sir

My concern lies with unaccountable government, when, as it is now, it is too large to even hope of holding accountable.

Our government has defined roles which I fully support, including roads and infrastructure, which taxes I happily pay. Yes happily.

I am not opposed to collectivized medicine, I simply see the model chosen as inadequate to the task of achieving the rhetorical rationales. To be completely frank, I doubt any effort will be made to accomplish the empty promises because the actual goal is more control of resources through taxation, in short a consolidation of unaccountable power.

Put otherwise, the emphasis will be on collecting and misappropriating the 21 new, or expanded, taxes contained in the bill.

As with most American's, probably yourself included, I simply want to live a quiet peaceable life, with as little intrusion as possible, I don't need a babysitter. I'm an adult, and if allowed, can readily manage my own affairs.

My position is that a cultural expectation of self reliance provides far greater results for individual's and the society as a whole, than the cultural expectation(psychology) of dependency which is now a couple of generations deep in its promotion and broad based acceptance. I really doubt Americans are going to like the results but lets revisit this subject, if we're allowed, say 5 years hence.

All the best.

peaceably,

ps Aren't the Darwin Awards great!
