Thanks for taking the time to respond as fully as you did. I agree, we've exhausted the topic, but I just have a few final observations and a question.

Biblical scholars have clearly demonstrated over the centuries that the text was altered by the scribes in literally thousands of ways. Bart Ehrman's "Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed The Bible and Why" goes into painstaking detail to illustrate this. Please help me to understand how you know that your version of the Bible (I assume we're talking the King James here) accurately reflects God's message for his creation? I know that reading posts on message boards, emails , etc., can make it easy to misread someone by simply reading their words, there is no tone of voice or facial expression or body language to aid the reader. What has always struck me about your posts has been the certitude with which you seem to hold and express your religious views. Is that accurate? Does doubt ever rear its head? Please don't cite passages, your own words would be great, GM.
