The other night on HBO they had a documentary on deaths cause by firearms in the US and the aftermath to families. While the documentary was on (I quit watching after a bit), the ticker was still going up at 4K plus for a period of three months in 2014.

My point is this...Pat wants to pull out some political expedient example of a gun death in San Fransisco (while yes, it is horrible)to simply make political yardage.

So, while sides focus on bullshit political talking points that favor their side, they ignore the true carnage that is going on. The smoke and mirrors vs the real issue.

Let me put it another way...guns end up in the hands of criminals from a very few number of ways - straw purchases and buying them others on the street under a variety of ways. On top of this, it is KNOWN about a relative small number of gun dealers that feed the straw purchase pipeline.

So what gets done about it? Nothing. Girlfriends of thugs or other people obtain the credentials to make these purchases - where it can be documented - and nothing gets done because some chicken little claims how the 2nd Amendment will fade if something is tried.

It's like this Beghanzi bullshit - four deaths vs 4000 plus in Iraq and by God, the Republicans are in outrage! Just outrage!!

So, let's continue to focus on the bullshit, argue the inane and ignore the carnage that occurs each day.
